Our Mission

To guide people through health and end-of-life so a peaceful balance is attained for body, mind, and spirit. To empower people with educational resources so they are better prepared for decisions about their life and their death. To provide open minded care and heartfelt support during meaningful moments and sacred transitions.

Neidra L. Clark, founder of Balance For Life And Death and the Conscious Grief Retreat, is a NEDA Proficient End Of Life Doula (EOLD), Certified Grief Educator, Certified Grief Movement Guide, Death Café Host and Facilitator, Certified Laughter Yoga Leader, Ordained Celebrant, Certified Reflexologist, Reiki Practitioner (Usui I/II attuned), and has been an Entrepreneur for the majority of her working career beginning at age thirteen. She is an advocate for conscious dying, green burial, home funerals, and self-empowerment in personal healthcare decisions. Neidra dedicates significant time to offering public education presentations such as for the Orange County Department of Aging, leading workshops on Creating Your Legacy Project, providing interviews for publications (Indy Week, Daily Tarheel) as well as for graduate student dissertations, facilitating a monthly Death Café, and teaching Laughter Yoga at yoga studios, senior centers, and private gatherings. She is a North Carolina native and has resided in Hillsborough since 2007.
